Model 795 Acoustic Tags

To see your fish tracks in 3D, Model 795 Acoustic Tags offer many advanced capabilities that no other tag can. They are user- programmable and work with HTI's Model 290/291 Acoustic Tag Tracking Systems, and together they offer an efficient means of remotely tracking fish in 3D or 2D with sub-meter resolution, with the option of real-time.

And now researchers are watching their fish track data via smart phones (e.g., iPhone) for immediate access to data from wherever you are in the world. Find out why leading fisheries researchers are using scientifically proven HTI acoustic tags.

Spec Sheet

  Key Features of Acoustic Tags
High-resolution
High-Resolution 3D positioning (fish tracks) over time (e.g. every second).
Small tag size Watch fish data in real-time or in post-processing.
Small tag size Access data remotely from anywhere in the world.
Small tag size
Small tag size for tracking small fish (e.g. juvenile salmonids).
Track hundreds of fish at the same time in the same area without tag collisions.
Individual tag ID
Individual tag ID with up to 62,000 unique codes available.
Tag animations

Life can be extended by decreasing PW and/or increasing PRI.  All tags operate at 307 kHz.     Length, diameter, & weight may vary +/- 10%. Life quoted is based on operating parameters     of 1 msec pulse width, single pulse, at 10°C.

 > Model 590-series Hydrophone

HTI hydrophones work perfectly for detecting Model 795 Acoustic Tags. See an example of Model 590-series Hydrophones deployed in a hydropower dam environment.

If your project is in a high-flow environment with flat surfaces for mounting hydrophones, we recommend HTI’s Low-Profile Hydrophone.

 > Model 595 Low-profile Hydrophone

Low-profile Hydrophone

Similar to the Model 590-series Hydrophone, the low-profile hydrophone detects Model 795 Acoustic Tags. It was designed to easily mount onto flat structures. Its ping detection range is 170 degrees, as opposed to the 330 degree detection range of a pole-mounted Model 590-series Hydrophone. The low-profile hydrophone is ideal for flat structures in high-flow areas.

Hydrophone Cable

 > Model 690-series Hydrophone Cables

Model 690-series Hydrophone Cables and Model 696 Armored Hydrophone Cables were designed to handle rugged aquatic environments. Compared to other cables, they allow significantly less noise from outside electrical sources. These cables are excellent for long term, deep water operations.
